Residents are close to the Chula Vista Community Park and the Salt Lake Community Park as well as the Lower Otay Reservoir which is where the United States Olympic Rowing Team trains. The reservoir is used for boating, picnicking, and barbecues. Fishing is very popular with several types of fish in the lake including channel catfish, bullhead, bluegill, largemouth bass, and white crappie.
